How do we accumulate so much stuff? And ... why is it so hard to get rid of it?
Does it serve a purpose? Do you use it more than once in 3 years? Have you even used it at all? I complain how my husband is such a pack rat, however, I am just as guilty. I would rather he throw all the boxes that have been in the closets for 3+ years away. If I haven't needed anything in there by now, then I don't need it at all. However, there is that little voice in the back always saying, well, maybe we might need this sometime, or maybe the kids might want that, or maybe we will have some extra time to use that when we do this ... and the list goes on and on and on!
Makes me think about all the stuff one carries inside. All the stuff that has been around for a person's lifetime. All the stuff that has affected me all these years. God is amazing. Once I surrender to Him all my internal stuff, it's gone. It's like He's absorbed it and it no longer exists in me. How good is that and how great is He?
Hi, I'm Deb and a recovering Catholic who gave up on religion, but was searching for something. I also thought I had given up on God, only to realize I hadn't and that He had not given up on me! What Good News that is! I live in Northern Nevada, married, have 3 married children (2 daughters and 1 son) and 5 grandchildren. Nope, they all live in different areas, which makes seeing them difficult. Thank you God for pictures!
I work on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe and am thankful for the drive I make everyday.
