What I like about all the pastors, the senior pastor included, in the church I attend is they are not afraid to be real. Not afraid to be human. Not afraid to show they can stumble and fall just like those of us they are teaching and leading.
Check out the series we are in at our church: http://www.cvcwired.com/this_weekend.php
What I am talking about is the Mother's Day service (5/12 & 5/13). The senior pastor tells a story on himself. How many times have we been in a situation very similiar to the one he tells. If it is not on the website above, keep checking. It will be there in the next couple of days.
As for my question, I truly enjoy all the pastors at our church for the very reasons I listed above.
I hope you feel the same about your pastors and church leaders.
Hi, I'm Deb and a recovering Catholic who gave up on religion, but was searching for something. I also thought I had given up on God, only to realize I hadn't and that He had not given up on me! What Good News that is! I live in Northern Nevada, married, have 3 married children (2 daughters and 1 son) and 5 grandchildren. Nope, they all live in different areas, which makes seeing them difficult. Thank you God for pictures!
I work on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe and am thankful for the drive I make everyday.
